You may have read that we launched the first phase of SafetyZone in February 2022. This cloud-based, connected health and safety platform brings together leading health and safety technologies and products to provide unique safety insights. Initially focused on SensorZone (SiteZone in the UK), SafetyZone is a leading proximity warning system for Pedestrian Plant Interface and telematics data. The next phase focuses on delivering new integrations which will empower organisations working in the construction, infrastructure and other heavy or industrial sectors to make practical data-driven decisions around improving safety in the workplace.
Bodytrak is a data-driven company fuelled by science with a solution that’s designed to keep people safe at work. The innovative, wearable technology solution is platform-based and protects workers from incidents caused by heat stress and fatigue. Through this solution, the wearer’s physiological data is captured via in-ear sensors, and proactive alerts are sent in real-time to both a supervisor and the user to enable intervention. Bodytrak also prevents hearing damage and provides a warning if a worker falls, as soon as it happens.

GKD Technologies and Bodytrak are working on integrating the data into the SafetyZone dashboard using the existing Bodytrak API. Development over the next two months will focus on how best to deliver health and wellbeing alerts and analyse this data in relation to telematics information and safety behaviour driven by SensorZone, to enable early intervention, to improve outcomes and reduce risk on sites across the globe.
