GKD has been the leading supplier of Rated Capacity Indicators to the construction and rail industry for over twenty years. The Series 2LHS has been specifically developed for the construction industry, bringing a robust, intuitive system that maximises safety and productivity.

The Series 2LHS gives you intelligent control of excavator height, slew and load. It is designed to prevent incidents with overhead dangers and those around the machine, protecting the machine and any personnel on site, as well as ensuring the machine is working within its safe lifting parameters.

The system is also Network Rail approved as a low performance movement limiting device, meaning that it is suitable for trackside working over 3000mm from the rail running edge.

How does it work?

The system combines high accuracy sensors with our intelligent safety software and an easy-to-use interface. It provides visual and audible warnings to the operator when safety limits are approached. It has also been designed to pre-empt movement, ensuring that limits are anticipated and motion cuts are implemented so that the pre-set limits are not breached.

There are up 36 different pre-defined lifting zones, giving you greater operational control and maximising machine productivity. The Series 2LHS ensures the maximum safe load can be lifted at any boom extension and slew position. It will only allow movement of the machine into a safe operating position when limits are reached.

Suitable for use on tracked or wheeled excavators, backhoe loaders and other articulated boom machines.

Ideal for working in low performance zones

The Series 2LHS has been fully approved by Network Rail as a low performance movement limiting device.

This means that it is certified for use in Adjacent Line Open (ALO) and Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) projects, specifically in the low performance area of operation (over 3000mm from the running edge of the track).
