Next up, we’ve got our Senior Technical Engineer, Sean!
What’s your name, job title and how long have you been at GKD?
My name is Sean and I’ve been with GKD for over 5 and a half years. I am the Senior Technical Engineer.
Before you joined GKD where did you work / what did you do?
I was a Technical Engineer at Quattro Plant, where my roles were performing 6-monthly RCI checks on their Road/Rail Excavators, as well as general maintenance on their fleet in the Southwest.
What do you like about your job?
Every day is a challenge, which is usually interrupted by even greater challenges, but I get satisfaction from meeting them head on and completing them. It is always good to see products that you’ve helped design and worked on being sold to customers. It’s a great feeling when you hear positive feedback from them.
What are you looking forward to over the next six months?
We have some exciting developments happening and it’s going to be good to see these game changers passed to our customers! It makes everything worthwhile.
Tell us about those phrases you picked to describe yourself!
Coffee drinker – I love a good coffee, after all its what keeps me going!
Father of 2 – I have 2 wonderful (though sometimes stressful) kids, ages 7 and 12.
BBQ chef – When it comes to a BBQ, I love cooking. There’s nothing like a cheese and bacon burger cooked over a BBQ, it just tastes so much better!
DIY enthusiast – I can pretty much turn my hand to anything so when it comes to DIY, anything goes.
